Before FAGP's investment, SESDAQ-listed Friven & Co was involved in 3 distinct and non-complementary businesses: bedlinens and beddings, menswear and personal hygiene products. It had lost its focus on its core strength and was without a clear direction.
Results
Friven & Co was transformed into a global integrated distributor and retailer of soft home furnishings through the following measures:
- Focused on core capabilities: bedlinen and beddings. Discontinued 2 other loss-making businesses;
- Acquired Shenzhen-based Eagleton Group which has greatly enhanced Friven & Co's product procurement capabilities, product range as well as substantially boosted Friven & Co's top and bottom lines;
- Created a new revenue stream through the introduction of new Friven & Co Concept Stores throughout the region;
- Within 6 months, FAP has significantly bolstered the platform which has enabled Friven & Co to embark on its next phase of growth in Asia and internationally; and
- Friven & Co is turned into a Home Lifestyle Concept platform with the ability to service the consumer, business and corporate segments.
